US Africa Initiatives (USAFI) overarching purpose is to catalyze, convene, and connect US professionals with civic, nonprofit, and educational leaders in Africa to provide technical assistance and capacity building. In addition, USAFI will take the lead in establishing a global engagement network that is committed to sustainable and equitable solutions to challenging issues faced by civic, nonprofit, and educational institutions in Africa.

Capacity Building Sustainable Partnerships (CBSP)
Capacity Building Sustainable Partnerships (CBSP) encompasses various approaches and modalities such as, resource mobilization, strategic planning, feasibility studies, assessments of organizational and leadership systems and structures, fiscal management, curriculum or workshop development, training and business development to enhance organizations' abilities to achieve greater efficiencies effectiveness, and sustainability. USAFI utilizes CBSP to catalyze, convene, and connect US professionals with civic, nonprofit, and educational leaders in Africa to provide technical assistance and capacity building. USAFI's overarching purpose is to establish a global engagement network that is committed to sustainable and equitable solutions to challenging issues faced by civic, nonprofit, and educational institutions in Africa, helping build the capacity of African organizations and their leadership for a brighter and more prosperous future.
Limited Technical Support (LTS)
Limited Technical Support (LTS) is a short-term program that provides targeted technical assistance to organizations seeking to enhance their capacities in specific areas such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI's), Governance, Fundraising, Marketing, and Management. USAFI utilizes LTS as part of its overarching purpose to provide technical assistance and capacity building to African organizations and leaders. By establishing a global engagement network committed to sustainable and equitable solutions to challenging issues faced by civic, nonprofit, and educational institutions in Africa, USAFI seeks to help build the capacity of African organizations and leaders through targeted technical support.
Networked, Self-Help Humanitarian Assistance in Africa (NSHHA)
The Humanitarian Assistance program, Networked, Self-Help Humanitarian Assistance in Africa (NSHHA), is designed to provide support to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and children impacted by food insecurity in Africa. This program focuses on empowering communities by utilizing existing networks and resources to create self-help mechanisms that can address humanitarian challenges effectively. As part of US Africa Initiatives (USAFI), NSHHA supports the overarching purpose of providing technical assistance and capacity building to African organizations while establishing a global engagement network committed to sustainable and equitable solutions for civic, nonprofit, and educational institutions in Africa. Through NSHHA, USAFI seeks to build the resilience and self-sufficiency of African communities to face and overcome the challenges of humanitarian crises.
