THRIVE AFRICA NETWORK
The THRIVE AFRICA NETWORK is USAFI’s continental platform for advancing youth and women’s empowerment, community resilience, and locally led sustainable development across Africa.
It brings together a growing constellation of country‑based and region‑based THRIVE Initiatives—such as THRIVE Uganda—that share a common framework for leadership development, enterprise incubation, regenerative livelihoods, and community transformation. Each THRIVE Initiative is locally anchored and independently led, in partnership with USAFI and some of its key partners, while the Network provides:

Technical support and capacity strengthening

Diaspora and academic engagements as well as global partnerships

A unified narrative and impact framework with dashboards to help with monitoring and evaluation

A platform for undertaking steps to expand, deepen, or scale proven models across regions
Together, the THRIVE AFRICA NETWORK cultivates a collaborative ecosystem where communities design their own solutions, youth and women lead change, and African-led innovation drives sustainable development across the continent.
THRIVE MALAWI INITIATIVE
The THRIVE MALAWI INITIATIVE is represented by Malawi Youth Development Partnership (Chitukuko cha Achinyamata m’Malawi)’s vision to transform cultural and social norms, strengthen youth participation and build inclusive pathways for national development. The Initiative envisions to empower Malawian youth to become self-reliant, innovative and productive citizens by fostering collaboration, transparency and sustainability across communities. This is through vocational training, education, mentorship and advocacy.
